Research has shown that people lie at least 10 times per week....

According to a study conducted by the University of Massachusetts 60% of people can not have a 10 minute convesation without lying at least once.

Other studies led by deception researchers Aldert Vrij and Bella DePaulo found that between 75% and 82% of lies go undetected. This deception has found to begin from as young as 6 months , Dr Vasudevi Reddy of the University of Portsmouth identified 7 types of deception used by toddlers from the age of 6 months with behaviour such as pretend laughter or crying used as ways of getting attention.

Yet consumers so quick to believe reviews posted by complete strangers and use these opinions as the basis on making buying decisions .
